Yves Raimond

Currently SVP/GM for Personalization at Spotify, the team of 500+ responsible for making Spotify uniquely yours through recommendations across the Spotify product, including Home, Search, DJ, AI Playlists, Daily Mix, Discover Weekly, Blend, Wrapped, Radio, and much more.

Previously, I was a Director of Engineering at Google, focusing on AI/ML for personalization in Google Search. Before that, I led the Algorithms Engineering team at Netflix, working on machine learning for recommendations, personalization, content, and infrastructure.

Between 2011 and 2014, I was a Lead R&D Engineer at BBC Research & Development, working on machine learning and Semantic Web technologies for extracting meaning from the BBC archive. Between 2008 and 2011, I was a Principal Software Engineer on BBC Programmes.

I completed my PhD at the Centre for Digital Music, Queen Mary University of London. My thesis, A Distributed Music Information System, deals with ontology-based knowledge management for music information retrieval systems. It was defended in January 2009.

I graduated in 2005 from ENST (École nationale supérieure des télécommunications), Paris, France.
